Expert help quantity limitation

The Expert Help service lacks a direct link to a specific anchor item, preventing customers from freely adjusting quantities and causing friction during checkout.

Opportunity

  • By treating Expert Help as an independent item with adjustable quantities (unlike most competitors except BestBuy), Walmart can offer greater customer control, reduce friction, and increase add-on service adoption.

Goal

Targeted business impact

The project aimed to deliver greater flexibility in Expert Help quantity selection to drive an incremental $8M in Gross Merchandise Value through improved add-on purchases.
